The Good Table Branding

art direction ★ design ★ illustration

The Good Table has been a beloved Cape Elizabeth staple since 1987. I aimed to create a brand that captured the charm of a historic neighborhood spot while complementing its new, polished space and menu.

The vision for the new Good Table was to feel like a neighbor inviting you into her home for a meal. I aimed to balance the sophistication of a seasoned hostess with an appreciation for the restaurant’s local roots.

One element that remained unchanged was the shield sign outside of the restaurant, the perfect motif to reinterpret in a modern way.

New Branding in Use

From there, I developed a color palette that added warmth to the brand and space and created a brand identity that suited the various occasions and meals served at The Good Table and could stretch across many brand touchpoints.

Whether for a casual breakfast or a special dinner, it was fulfilling to be part of this project and help the community create lasting memories, big and small.
