Evo, 2024

Art Direction, Design, Illustration, Copywriting, Animation, Print Coordination

I began Evo’s refresh in the hopes of breathing new life into all aspects of the brand, both digital and physical, while maintaining its well-deserved reputation as one of Portland’s top restaurants.

The space, menu, and brand were reworked simultaneously with the common goal of a dynamic and energetic guest experience.

I knew I wanted to maintain the brand recognition of Evo’s distinct wordmark. I began the brand identity by addressing some technical concerns with the logo, such as scalability and legibility. I landed on the perfect geometric lockup to contain the text.

Layering geometric shapes became a visual thread that carried through the brand, inspired by Middle Eastern tilework and the unique shape of the building.

The new brand would be launched alongside a new signature prix fixe menu: The Evo Experience. I created a dinner menu that highlighted the Evo Experience in an intuitive way, while also showcasing an a la carte offering and an extensive beverage program.

I added a library of illustrations for extra playfulness, also to contrast the bold geometric shapes while highlighting the ingredients and handcrafted cocktails.

We celebrated nine years of Evo and the launch of the refreshed brand and menu with a Disco Birthday Bash. Finally, we unveiled the new look on social media, reassuring it’s loyal following that the great food they love would remain the same.

Not A Bakery, 2024

Art Direction, Design, Copywriting, Content, Illustration, Packaging, Print Coordination, and much more…

“Not A Bakery” was the unofficial name of the commissary kitchen providing baked goods and pastries to the Prentice Hospitality Group’s four restaurants. Still not a brick-and-mortar bakery, the team’s new food truck and brand adopted the same name.

Not a Bakery is a scrappy but joyful brand that allows countless opportunities for me to flex my creative muscles and wear different hats, whether that’s painting them a banner, coming up with content ideas and unique promotions, writing silly copy, or of course designing marketing materials.

Having a physical brand asset like a food truck provides the perfect backdrop for fun content with the team and community events.

I hope this whimsical brand brings the same joy to the community that it has brought me, although that's not too difficult when pastries are involved!

 The Good Table, 2024

Art Direction, Design, Copywriting, Illustration, Animation

The Good Table has been a beloved Cape Elizabeth staple since 1987. I aimed to create a brand that captured the charm of a historic neighborhood spot while complementing its new, polished space and menu.

The vision for the new Good Table was to feel like a neighbor inviting you into her home for a meal. I aimed to balance the sophistication of a seasoned hostess with an appreciation for the restaurant’s local roots.

One element that remained unchanged was the shield sign outside of the restaurant, the perfect motif to reinterpret in a modern way.

From there, I developed a color palette that added warmth to the brand and space and created a brand identity that suited the various occasions and meals served at The Good Table.

Whether for a casual breakfast or a special dinner, it was fulfilling to be part of this project and help the community create lasting memories, big and small.

Valentine’s Day, 2025

Art Direction, Design, Copywriting, Content, Illustration

Valentine’s Day (in my opinion) is meant to be fun and a bit camp. That being said, I had a lot of fun pushing the boundaries of these brands for the ocassion. Each had its own unique aesthetic for Valentine’s Day.

Evo, Y2K V-Day

I swapped Evo’s signature tiles and illustration for that of a Valentine’s Day theme, working in a pink and red color palette. I was inspired by the classic teen magazine collages of the 2000’s, adding fun rhinestones and sparkly stickers. We even pushed the cocktail copy further (text your ex, anyone?) playing into the lightheartedness of the brand and holiday.

Twelve, French Bistro Valentine’s Day

Naturally, we interpreted French Bistro as Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette. This was a fun one that tapped into my love for ornate patterns and textiles.

The Good Table, Classic meets Modern Valentine’s Day

Staying true to its newly minted branding, I went for a graphic but simple design to promote Valentine’s Day specials at The Good Table.

Harvest Dinner, 2024

Design, Packaging, Print Coordination

I collaborated with the talented team at Twelve to create an event identity, custom artwork, marketing materials, and a bespoke menu for their inaugural Harvest Dinner.

I worked with the lovely Pickwick Press on a letterpress menu, printing the accompanying wine pairing menu in-house with matching French Press paper.
